Stew Iverson

Earlier this week I reported that RPI Chairman Stewart Iverson was taking a job working for Senate Leader Ron Wieck. Comments at The Real Sporer were almost all negative. I and other SCC members were perplexed that we had to hear about this through a blog rather than from Iverson himself.

Apparently the criticism hit home. Iverson and Wieck have decided that:

... it would be in everyone’s best interest for Sen. Wieck to move in a different direction to fill that vacancy.

I am not even sure that I actually opposed Iverson taking the job. It just seemed unusual to me, and I thought that as an employee, Iverson should have at least consulted the SCC before making such a move.

At the risk of interrupting the anonymous bashing of you and your character, please indulge me for a minute.

Your posts are not only well thought out, but contain a strict adherance to honor and ethics and that is one of the many reasons why I am so pleased that you represent me on the SCC.

I also admire the fact that you don't hide behind anonymity. Kudos to you my friend!

First off, David I always appreciate your insightful comments that you provide regarding our party. I agree in order for our principles to be maintained our leadership needs to be on the same page. So YES the scc should have been informed. For those who had less than favorable comments maybe just maybe you are what is wrong with our party. When you make disparaging comments about someone who truely not only loves this party but has given years fighting for the truths that this party stands for. If you think anything different I know you can still register for one of the liberal parties this party is for the con-serv-at-ive. Which means we are for the people! So instead of channeling your ire here either use your energy to help elect republicans or go spread your poison in the other party.
