Acting Like Republicans

In a largely symbolic move, President Bush lifted the executive order against off-shore drilling. Symbolic because Congress must act in order for any drilling to occur.

In the mean time, Congress has gone on a recess without doing anything significant to help solve our energy crisis. Iowa's own Steve King is among the Republican Congressmen protesting the decision to recess by remaining in Washing ton and meeting to call for Speaker Pelosi to come back and take care of business.

Of course, we all know that the Democrats will not return since the Speaker is busy on a book tour promoting her new book: Know Your Power: A Message To America's Daughters.
